I think it’s important to attract “free” traffic on a consistent basis as part of your routine. Don’t you?

I personally like “building” traffic like I “build” income. The best kind of income for me is when you put in some work now to reap the benefits over and over in the future. By this I mean recurring income that comes in from that work month after month long after you finished doing the work.. You can apply this same principal to traffic!

Content is king

You can create a piece of content now and it will continue bringing you traffic month after month in the future. The more information content you create the more traffic you can generate as time goes on because you are exercising the power of leverage. You are leveraging your thoughts and ideas. There are many different ways to create leveraged information content both online and offline in many different modalities.

There is written word (books, courses, blog articles, web pages)

audio (pod casting, songs, streaming audio sites)

video (TV spots, YouTube videos, video sales letters, video emails)

I recommend starting with article marketing to convert your time into content, then into “residual” traffic then into sales.
The key word is residual. Once you create an article it will continue to work for you generating you traffic and leads long after you create it.The more you write in a strategic fashion, the more “traffic equity” you build. Here is a video that explains article marketing if you are new to it.. Article Marketing for Newbies

To perform an article marketing strategy properly you need a blog.

-If you are looking to start a blog I recommend first reading this article, on developing your unique selling proposition. by Corbett Barr from ThinkTraffic.net Corbett is an expert in online traffic creation using information content and I have learn a lot from following his blog at thinktraffic.com. If you want a step by step plan for not only starting a blog, but starting a blog that matters check out Corbett’s online course. Its an exceptional value for what you get at just $97, its a total steal.

-Next you need a hosted blog. Here is how to build a hosted blog in 3 minutes By Ryan Hache

-Get your blog ready to convert traffic into leads by creating a customer magnet and putting it on your blog.
How to Create a Customer Magnet Video by Ryan Hache

-Research Keywords in your target niche that have low competition, high traffic, high relevance and commercial intent. Order those keywords from lowest competition to highest competition here is a video on picking your keywords and making a keyword list. By Ryan Hache

-Document this list in a program like teamwork pm a great way to manage your list of action items and keep you on track

-Then take that list and convert each keyword into a “headline” for a blog post that contains your keyword. Check out this excellent headline resource How to write magnetic headlines by Copy Blogger

I also recommend reading this book on sales copy and headlines I think its 10 bucks.. its worth 10 times that:
The ultimate sales letter by Dan Kennedy

-Now you are left with a list of 10 killer headlines.. it’s time to Write epic shit (read this) By Corbett Barr from ThinkTraffic.net

-This step is optional depending on how much time you have but can allow you to tap into another great source of free traffic, Video. You can shoot a video about your killer blog post, post it on you tube and embed the YouTube video in your article. Make sure to put a link back to your article at the start of the description and a reason why they need to check out the article. TIP: (also make sure to toss in the link to the video itself at the end of the description just in case others embed the video on their site, it will give you extra backlinks.

-Now post it live!…

-email it to every lead on your email list

-email it to your friends and associates to share it for you. (you will do the same for them)

-share it! on Facebook, twitter, google +, linked in, pinterest, onlywire.com.

Now once your blog gets some authority, that should be enough of a push to get it on the first page of Google for a low competition keyword, which I recommend for your first few blog posts. Doing low competition keywords first will give your blog relevance and authority in the niche. Once you have that you can start targeting bigger and bigger keywords. If you want to really go after some bigger keywords you need to build backlinks to your articles check out my backlink getting strategy on this post the tools I use under Building Traffic to your Website or Blog Content and check out the backlink strategy that works by Pat Flynn (Pat Flynn is a great down to earth guy who is killing it online)

I know as soon as I started implementing these strategies it really helped me increase my blog traffic.

All the references listed here are A-list bloggers in the Internet marketing space that I trust highly.

leaving you with this -> https://plus.google.com/101050191310691294469

that is your google profile link you will use in the next step.

Step 8: simply add the following link code somewhere in the footer of your website. If you have a developer you can just hand this to them.

<a href=”https://plus.google.com/u/0/1010501913106912XXXXXX” rel=”me” title=”My Google Profile“>My Google Profile</a>

If you don’t have a developer, I’m going to show those of you who use wordpress an easy way to do it.

a) All you have to do is login to your wordpress admin panel and mouse over Appearance and click widgets
b) on this page i’m going to assume you have a widget on your side bar that either has your opt in form code or your social media follow buttons. All you have to do is add it right in there somewhere that isn’t conflicting with where your readers are going to be confused by it.

That’s it, you now have your pretty face in the search results and you are on your way to building stronger connections and attracting more clicks from the search engines.

As you may have heard Facebook has forced all businesses to switch from the old fan page style to the new timeline style effective march 30th weather we like it or not.

Lucky for you I have been testing an tweaking new techniques so that when this day was came I could share with you what i’ve learned. More importantly i’m going to show you how to take easy actionable steps to updating you facebook fan pages for the new timeline so you can get the most out of your facebook timeline fan page spending the least amount of time possible.

Why do you care? because your audience is on facebook and being where they are and up to date shows your customers you are willing to be transparent and involved where they live.

Before I get into how to easily update your facebook fan page for timeline in the shortest possible amount of time, I wanted to go over the top 3 questions on everyone’s mind that have been spreading about facebook timeline. These myths and truths should help bring you up to speed on what is really happening.

#1 – All reveal tabs are dead and will be shut down (false)

If you are not familiar with what a reveal tab is, they are simply a stand alone page on facebook where you give an incentive for clicking on your like button. These tabs are part of a strategy I teach to double your fans, but if you want more on that you will have to check out my facebook fan page here. There has been a stir around the web that reveal tabs no longer work or that facebook will be shutting down reveal pages in the new timeline format. This couldn’t be further from the truth. In fact they are better than ever, they look great and convert even better than they ever have.

#2 – You are no longer able to set your default landing page (true)

Yes its true, you can now no longer redirect new visitors from your home page to your reveal tab. You are still however allowed to link directly to your reveal page from your blog and you are also allowed to run your ads directly to your landing pages. If you are worried about people who find your wall through search no longer liking your page, don’t worry because I’m going to show you how to drive a ton of wall traffic to your reveal pages with the new timeline features that have just been released with these changes.

#3 – You can no longer show all your tabs (true)

This is true! Awesome.. People, this is a good thing. Facebook is forcing you to convert better, you should thank them. They have actually made the tabs into big graphical icons with text that you can now show up to 4 of on your main page. One of the icons is photos and has to stay put, but the rest are for you to use and can be used for your reveal tabs and like box. This actually helps us solve problem #2 and I will show you below how I have used both the photo box to get more conversions and the perfect configurations for your tabs.. keep reading.

Whats New when Configuring Facebook Timeline?

#1 The New Facebook Timeline Cover Image and Dimensions

With facebook’s new cover image is big and full of life at 851 wide by 315 tall pixel. You can even be clever in suggesting new prospects go to your reveal page while bringing a big presence for your brand to the wall. No more randomized images! Woo Hoo!

But be sure not to break their new rules though!
Here are a list of the new facebook cover image Rules:

No prices anywhere

No purchase suggestions

No contact info

No reference to the like button

no direct calls to action

Check out my my fan page to see how I suggest with a question without a call to action..

#2 The New Facebook Timeline Tab Layout

The new tab layout has been scrutinized but i’m a huge fan. When you give people too many options they are more likely to choose none. This is a prefect example of that. The old tabs were showing too many options.. if they want more options they can click the down arrow. Otherwise keep it clean keep it simple. You will notice I have the photos box, my reveal tab and my like box. You can have up to 4 on your home screen but I prefer 3 for 2 reasons.

I want to give them one option, my reveal page offer.

You get more room for the newly situated about box.

Another thing you will notice is that you can’t move the photos box. No problem, after you are finished uploading your images for the day just make sure to upload the good old start here graphic to suggest users check out your Reveal Page. This works like a charm. Here is that image if you want to download it for yourself.
http://www.ryanhache.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/start-here-image.png

#3 The New Facebook Timeline About Box!

This is one of my favorite things.. It seems so simple but it is extremely important. With any social network it is important to drive people back to your “money site” aka your corporate website or blog, you know where you take in leads and make sales. Don’t overlook this box. Use it as an opportunity to showcase your unique selling proposition and always start it with “Visit (yourwebsite) .. then your tag line.

#4 The New Facebook Reveal Squeeze Pages!

In this video I show you how to create a facebook reveal page on your new facebook timeline page in 3 minutes to attract more fans. You won’t need a programmer, designer or even a hosting account. Just 3 minutes and an imagination.

I thought it would be helpful if I created a page that cuts through all the “shiny objects” and gets right down to the tools I use every day to attract customers using information marketing. On this page I’m going to show you each tool I use categorized by why I use each one. Also if you want to learn more about a particular strategy there will links to articles I have written on the topic for many of the tools I use. Simply click the link to read the article you want to learn more about.

Please note: Some of the links shown below are affiliate links and I may earn a commission if you click on them (at not extra cost to you). With that said I use and trust each of the companies below and would recommend them to my best friend if they were starting business. Please only purchase the services below if they are going to help you achieve the goals you have for your business.

Keyword Research

Keyword research is all about finding the right niche to enter into even before you build your website. This stage is a vital first step to starting any business and will save you time and money if you understand the market and the people in that market.

Market Samurai – Before entering into any niche, market samurai helps me find the keywords that people are searching for online that have high search volume, low competition, high relevance and commercial intent. Finding the right keywords to build your website or blog around and understanding how to optimize your website to be found in the search results is vital to the amount of targeted traffic your website gets and ultimately the number of sales you make.

google keyword tool – Google keyword tool is a great free resource to find relevant keywords with traffic and its free. However understanding how much work it is going to take to rank on page #1 of google is vital to picking the keywords you target. This is why I prefer market samurai.

Hosting and Website or Blog Setup

I like to keep things simple. This step is all about getting a website or blog up and running that is going to open doors for attracting customers to your website and creating an overall good experience for your prospect that leads to sales for your business. In this phase you are going to need to learn how to set up your own blog, make it look nice, start building your email list with a lead magnet, and optimize it to convert your visitors into sales.

Bluehost – With bluehost you can have your own blog installation of wordpress up and running in 3 minutes with the 1 click wordpress installation button it has never been easier to create a “real” wordpress blog hosted on your own domain name included with the setup.

Woothemes – Beautiful Templates for WordPress

Response Magic – Your email list is the lifeblood of your blog it allows you to capture email addresses of your traffic so that you can influence them to read and share your new content or purchase your product.. Response magic is a great Free email marketing system that allows you to easily create a lead magnet to put on your website or blog so you can start building your email list fast.

Content Creation

Content is king! Here is the bottom line. Content is like Internet real estate, the more content you have on the Internet the more ways there are for people to find you given that you get it listed at the top of the search results. You absolutely want good content before you can think about getting is listed at the top of the search results. Otherwise you could be hurting your brand rather than strengthening it. Here are some great tools I use to create content aside from writing blog posts with wordpress. (which is my favorite by far.)

Jing- This software should be in multiple categories because it is such and awesome tool and its FREE!. Jing is a little button that hovers at the top of your screen that allows you to either take a screenshot of anything on your screen or shoot a screen cast video of anything on your screen and record your voice and screen for up to 5 minutes. It then allows you to one-click publish it to screencast.com or youtube and it copies the link or embed code to your clipboard so you can just paste the the link to someone or paste the embed code of your video on a blog. I use this tool everyday to create content or just communicate a message to my team.

Camtasia Studio – Screen Recording Software I use to create video presentations and record my screen to shoot training videos

Microsoft Powerpoint – Slideshow Presentation Software I use in conjunction with camtasia studio to create video presentations that I can post online.

Screenflow for Mac (I don’t use it but I would if I used a mac)

Keynote – Slide show Presentation Software (I don’t use it but I would if I used a mac)

Building Traffic to your Website or Blog Content

Ok so now we are at the section where we have some content and we need to get it listed at the top search results where there is the most traffic and the most people clicking. I use use a backlinking strategy that involves social media, video marketing and article marketing. Article marketing is by far the most important part to my backlink strategy because it is the easiest way to get a large amount of backlinks. Essentially you are exchanging an article for backlinks to your website. In this strategy I use 1 article and instead of exchanging that one unique article with a website as a guest post, I do what you call “article spinning” so I can share that article with hundreds of sites as a guest author. Most sites will only accept a guest post if it is unique content, otherwise they wouldn’t get any value from the article because google wouldn’t display it to their traffic. So in order to get around this problem you create hundreds of different versions of your guest post article using word replacements. This creates hundreds of readable unique versions of you article. The next thing I need to do is find partners that have authority websites that want to put my guest post on their directory or blog. For this I use a combination of manual submissions to the top article websites like ezine articles, existing blogs I have created, web 2.0 properties like squidoo, and last but not least hundreds of blogs and directories automatically over time using Unique Article Wizard Article Submission Software. When you post each of your guest post articles on all these locations, make sure to include a backlink to the article or page you are trying to rank in google. Presto tons of authority backlinks which equates to top rankings for your articles or pages in google.

The Best Spinner Article Spinning Software – I use this software to create unique versions of the articles I write just for submission to the top article directories. When I’m finished using this software I am left with hundreds of unique versions of the article I have written so I can post a unique version to each article directory. Its important to have unique versions of the articles you spin as most popular authority directories will now only accept unique content and with the new panda update you do not get the same credit for you backlinks if they are coming from a duplicate source. So this is a must have if you are doing article marketing.

Unique Article Wizard Article Submission Software – I use this software to submit mass versions of my unique articles to the less popular articles directories as well as regular blogs that use unique article wizard to add more content to their websites. I recommend using the best spinner to make sure all your articles are unique before submitting to unique article wizard.

Outsourcing tasks so you can spend more time doing the things your love

I primarily use outsourcing only for repetitive tasks, not creative ones. I want the absolute best content possible to represent my brand. Not that you can’t outsource article writing I just choose not to. However the biggest part of this entire process if done properly is the article spinning and submissions. So naturally that is what I outsource to save myself a ton of time and money.

Odesk – Outsourcing Platform that I use to leverage my time by hiring outsourced contract workers to do my article spinning, manual article submissions and mass directory submissions to push up the rankings of my website and articles in the search results.

Teamworkpm – Project Management software I could not live without. This is probably the most important piece of software in my toolbox. I can’t say enough about it. It allows me to get the ideas I have out of my head and into an organized to do list that is shared with contractors, full time employees and clients! It allows you to priorities you actions so you can stay focused and on task. It allows you to collaborate with your contractors and unifies the communication files and instructions all in one place so it is very easy to manage a group of people so they stay focused and on task.

Have you ever wondered how to automatically post your facebook status updates to twitter?

In this article i’m going to show you step by step how to automatically post your facebook status updates to twitter so you can stay more productive and keep your twitter followers in the loop all the time and increase your reach with every post.

Now you are probably wondering in the back of your head.. I want all my business posts to go to my business twitter account not my personal twitter and visa versa.. well I will demystify that in this post as well so you can be sure you are posting only from the right facebook fan pages to the right twitter accounts.

Step 1:

Log into your facebook account

Step 2:

Assume the role of your facebook fan page by clicking in the top right hand corner drop down arrow.

Step 3:

click on the page you would like to sync with twitter.

Step 4:

click edit page in the top right hand corner

Step 5:

click resources

Step 6:

click link your page to twitter

Step 7:

it will tell you you have to continue as yourself to continue, go ahead and click continue

Step 8:

a page like this will appear, click the link to twitter button.

Step 9:

A box will pop up that say authorize app. check to make sure you are logged in as the twitter account you want to link up. If not you need to click sign out. once signed out you will see the same screen this time it will have a login. You can now use the login credentials from the twitter account you wish to link up and click authorize.

There you have it 9 simple steps to easily leverage your time and automatically post your facebook fan page status updates to twitter.

In this article I’m going to be talking about information marketing and how to apply it to your marketing strategy online to attract new customers and literally sell anything to any market.

What is information marketing?

Information marketing by my definition is the art giving away free information on a particular topic that is in direct relation with your target market with the intention of attracting an audience, becoming an authority and building a relationship with that market.

Why should you consider information marketing as a part of your marketing strategy?

In terms of online marketing, information searches make up the majority of all Internet searches in all major search engines. Despite their lack of commercial intent buyers tend to seek advice about a product or service via informational search prior to searching directly for a product itself. This is a good opportunity to provide information to the searcher, build a relationship with them as a trusted source and offer suggestions thus eliminating their need for a second commercial search. This also means you get to influence the information searchers buying decisions in that instance. You also gain the benefit of being seen as an authority in that market and you get to help someone in your target market that could become a source of a referral or eventually a customer when they do need your product or service.

How to Use Information Marketing to Attract Customers

Here is a simple to follow list that walks you through how to use information marketing to attract customers to your website or blog online.

Understand the market your are entering

You want to make sure before you start your information marketing campaign that you “really” understand your target market well. A common mistake in this step is to target a market that is too broad. This poses a bunch of problems. First you will never be able to truly speak to your prospect the way they want to hear it if you are trying to speak to a generic audience. Second you will be in a much stronger competition bracket and it will be tougher to compete and you will need a lot of content. I recommend being extremely focused with your target market before you start.

Find what the poeople in your target market are looking for

The next thing you want to do is find what your target market is looking for by understanding what types of Internet searches are happening in your target market. We call this process keyword research click here to learn more about keyword research.

Create an information website or blog targeting your market

Creating an information website is easy and can be really fun.
Check out this article How to find your domain name and set up your website or blog in 3 minutes.

Its surprisingly simple these days to set up a fully customize website or blog.

Create free information content and post it on your website

The next step is to simply create free information content that solves the problems in your target market that people are searching for in the search engines. See the key to this as you will learn in the keyword research phase is to pick topics people are searching for that have acceptable levels of competition an high search volume. You can post content in multiple formats. Google will return results for written words via web pages and blog articles and it will also return video results as well. YouTube is now the #2 search engine in the world and more and more people are looking to YouTube as a means to solve their informational search needs. You can also use audio in the form of an iTunes podcast or Mp3 cast. I prefer iTunes because you always want to go where to big search markets are.

Get your content ranked #1 in the search engines

Ofcourse in order to gain the benefit from those Internet searches we discovered in the keyword research phase we need to make sure we are listed first in the search results to ensure we have the highest level of views to our information content. I recommend opting into my email list on the top right of this page if you would like to stay on top of the latest trends in search marketing and getting your pages ranked #1. Or Check out this post if you are new to the concepts of search engine optimization “Introduction to Search Engine Optimization Basics”

Sell the click

Once you are ranked high in the search engines you want be be interesting and stand out from the sea of other results. You want to sell the click. You want them to chose you out of the 10 options they see in front of them. We do this by creating a headline for you post that attracts people to read it.

Your customer consumes your content

When you write content make sure it is the best content you can write. Don’t hold back because this is a crucial part of building a relationship. If you were in a meeting with someone and trying to show them you know what you are talking about would you hold back? No, ofcourse not so don’t do it in your information. Be real and be helpful. I like to think of it as giving advice to a friend. Treat people right, the world will be a better place and it all comes back around.

Your lead magnet

Once you get traffic back to your blog you need to provide some over the top epic value that you would normally charge for, for free in exchange for the prospects email address. It isn’t enough to just have a place on the page to join your mailing list. You need to give them a reason to take action. So here is where I remind you that I have a lead magnet on this very page in the top right hand corner. My list gets my blog updates with great posts just like this one when they come out as well as I show you how to attract customers and find un-tapped traffic sources with my in depth research video training course, which is free! So don’t forget to join me. Also Here is another free video where I show you step by step how to create a lead magnet for yourself.

Your email list should provide exceptional value

Email market has gone from you’ve got mail, to you’ve got spam. So don’t be someone who provides non stop sales messages. You want your list to respond to you when you need their feedback and be happy to open your emails. You should always send 5 times more value than you ever ask for anything in return. Many Internet marketers are moving away from direct selling from their email list all together. Now this don’t mean don’t sell anything, it just means provide value and make recommendations. Don’t just don’t over sell.

I decided to write this blog post today because I have been getting a lot of people asking me how to make their own blog and it seems to hold a lot of people up when it comes to tapping into search engines. Or sometimes I see a lot of people deciding to take what they think is a shortcut and post their articles on blogger or wordpress.com. Now before I get into showing you how to get everything set up in 3 minutes I want to give you a few good reasons why you should decide to host your own blog instead of using typepad, wordpress.com or blogger.

When you install wordpress on your own server you get:

Full control over the design in the future or right now.

Unlimited plugins you can install.

You own the authority you create, this is huge when you are going to spend time building authority to your blog you should be in control of where your authority is directed.

You can sell your site for more money if you choose.

You look more professional

I’m sure their are a bunch more that I forgot please add them to the comments if you can come up with a few more I forgot and I’ll add them in.

Ok so now that you know why you need to host your blog lets talk about what you are going to need to do.

1. pick a domain name 2. pick a server to host your blog 3. install wordpress on your blog 4. install a wordpress theme on your blog

I recommend using bluehost because it’s only $5.95/month allows you to do all 4 of these steps easily in 3 minutes and it is super simple.

Now before you click on the link to go to bluehost to set up your blog i want to make sure you think about the domain you choose. Selecting your domain name can strongly impact your search engine rankings. If your domain name has your primary keywords that you are targeting in it people tend to link to your like this Keyword blog by ryan hache or just link to you with your keyword because it is the name of your blog. The reason this is important is because each time someone links to you with your keyword in the anchor text you get a bump in rank from the search engines.

Example: If you were making a dog training blog and your domain was bestdogtraining.com a lot of people would link to you with best dog training as their anchor text or “the text in their link”..

Your other choice is to try and get your name. this is a popular choice because it allows you to brand yourself over and over. It also secures your name in google so you are the only thing that shows up when someone googles your name. This can be great after you become a household name

Ok so lets get started:

Go to bluehost.com or click my affiliate link to help support the blog at no cost to you

click the sign up button

pick a domain name

enter your account information to get started

when you login for the first time scroll to the bottom where you will find an icon that says install wordpress. ITS THAT EASY!

Resources:
If you want to make your blog look really professional you can use woo themes to pick a wordpress theme designed by some of the best designers online! I use a woo theme called “fresh news”

When you make custom facebook pages it is important to understand that you are doing so to connect with new customers and spread the word about your offer. The best way to do that is to tap into the facebook grid and spread your message viral… So how do you do that?
The first thing you want to do is make sure that you have a high level of people clicking the “like” button on you page. What this will do is ensure that more people are seeing your page because each time someone clicks like it shows this interaction with that prospects circle of friends. Another thing that happens when you click the like button is that is increases the number of likes on your page making your page show up higher in the facebook search results. So now that we know we need more “likes” to go viral how do we create facebook pages that make you viral by getting more likes. The answer is to create what I like to call a “facebook reveal tab” a facebook reveal tab is similar to a “squeeze page” or “landing page” on facebook that incentivizes the user to click the “like” button on your facebook page. Take a look at this video below to learn how to create a custom facebook reveal tab for your business with no hosting, no design experience for free! The video is going to show you where to get the software for free to get it all set up, Hope you enjoy!

free facebook page reveal tab software allows you to create a facebook fan page like the pro’s in 3 minutes with no designer and no hosting account!

Get free video training here with free access to the software

The best way to get a ton of raving fans to your website is to allow your website to be shared virally. Well the best way to allow your facebook fan page to be shared virally is to get as many “likes” as possible. Each time someone likes your fan page it shows up in the news feed of all their friends allowing those friends to now like your page aswell. So with that said you need to make sure you are optimized to get as many likes as possible and the best way to do that is to create a facebook “reveal” page or facebook “reveal” tab. This is a when you show your prospect a custom landing page that has an offer to your prospect to “reveal” them somthing if they click like. This takes just a few seconds for the prospect and provides a way for you to spread your influence virally over facebook at a rapid rate. Click here to get the free facebook page reveal tab software and training.

Hey Everyone,

As you know facebook has discontinued the use of FBML so we can no longer create squeeze pages with that functionality.

Today I’m going to show you how to create a facebook squeeze page using the new iFrame method.

******************************
Update to post:

There is now free software to do this with no designer, no hosting for FREE!
click here for step by step instructions on how to get it set up!

***********************************

Here is a video to help you and below the video is the download files and the instructions.

Enjoy.

1. Step one is to create your offer.. here is an example of my offer. This is the most crucial part of your squeeze page.

(I have a great training on how to create a “customer magnet” aka “the offer”.. just register for a free autoresponder account -by clicking here and it will show you the training as soon as you register, having the free autoresponder account will allow you to upload pictures without using FTP, it makes it much easier to alter your offers)

2. the next step is to download the files used to create the page on your sever.
http://www.ryanhache.com/facebooksdk/workfromhomeshowapp/facebook.zip

3. create your app by searching for “developers” in the facebook search box.. click the first option that pops up then click create app in the top right.

4. click the the facebook integration tab to get your application ID and Application Secret

5. copy and paste your application ID and Application secret into your index.php file as shown in the video.

6. create a folder on your website for the app and upload these two files into that new directory on your server web space.

7. go back to the facebook integration tab and enter in the URL to that directory on your live website in the “tab url” box and the “secure tab url” boxes.. add https for the secure tab box..

8. click back to your apps page and add your new app to your page .

9. Then make that app your default tab and users that arrive at your page will get your squeeze page message.

10. Now all you need to do is give your audience a good reason to opt-in and give you their email address.

Social media and Searching are starting to move towards becoming one, social searching. This will give you more relevant referrals from friends.

This is extremely powerful as social media (facebook) has the highest rate of “social proof” which is the #1 persuasion factor in people and search engines have “intent” in other words the searcher took action to search the topic and have intent to buy or find information related to the topic.

Put those together and you have a new age of searching called Social Searching.

For example take someone that has intent to buy a stroller for their new baby so they search for “best stroller Toronto” on Google.

and your friend “Al Jones” recommends “Toronto baby strollers” on Young street.

I know and respect Al so I am going to visit ” Toronto baby strollers” on Young street.

Very powerful stuff..
Social searching = Social Proof + Intent

Social Proof = Al Likes them and I trust Al so I probably like them too.
Intent = I need to buy a stroller.

Now if we can just get Google and Facebook to work together on this one we are there now.

but instead we have Google hotpot check it out.
http://www.google.com/support/hotpot/bin/static.py?page=guide.cs&guide=1067589

However the real player to watch here is Facebook.

If facebook starts to take advantage of this “intent” market of searchers they will have the most robust database of relationship connections and will be able to easily provide a better service and be the #1 search engine.

Love to make you think.. please share this below with your friends if you enjoyed this post.

Get more cool free stuff and join other marketers on facebook!

In this post I’m going to show you how to get people to like your facebook page for free.

Step 1 How to Get People to like your facebook page by given them somthing free:

You need to start by creating what is called a lead magnet. this is simply somthing of value you can give away. If you already have a website that gives somthing away in exchange for the propsect’s email address this is perfect. If not here is a quick way to create a basic lead magnet. First you need to think of something your target market wants that you have. The easiest idea is to use knowledge you have that they want to know. Once you know what you want to share with them, simply write up the information or create a youtube video with this information they want.
